About Chain Reaction
Dive into the chemistry that underpins our everyday existence with Ijeoma Uchegbu. With personal anecdotes about the chemistry that's shaped her life, join her to explore how weak chemical bonds hold our bodies together, why the molecules that make us us break down the moment our heart stops beating and how the food on our plates relies on precise chemical bonds created by water and oil. From the fibres in our clothes to the individual cells powering our every move, to be human is to be a walking chemical reaction.
Chain Reaction reveals the chemical processes all around us: hairdressing disasters, laundry mishaps, life-saving medicines, kitchen experiments and so much more. This is a story that's both universal and personal, grand and intimate, and it will change the way you see everything. In conversation with Julia Wheeler.
There will be a book signing after this event.
