About Jess Gillam Trio

An afternoon programme full of colour, energy and joy from the magnetic saxophonist Jess Gillam. Described by The Times as ‘uniquely mercurial,’ she lights up every stage with her electrifying performances and vibrant personality. She made history as the youngest soloist ever to play at the Last Night of the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall. Since then, Jess has performed on major stages around the world.

In this concert, she teams up with pianist Zeynep Özsuca and bassist Sam Becker. Together, they bring a thrilling mix of music – from jazz legends like Phil Woods and Sidney Bechet, to Corelli’s baroque brilliance and the joyful swing of Gershwin. Expect surprises, favourites with a twist and a touch of folk.
